Lisa works to apply an inter-disciplinary practice that delivers clients short and long term care for optimal health and well being.
Lisa is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a board certified Health Coach. She received her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Spiritual Depth Psychology at Antioch University Los Angeles.
She finds great satisfaction in bringing her unique approach to blending Psychodynamic, Solution-focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), 12-Step Recovery (if applicable) and Mindfulness-Based techniques to her practice. Lisa trained as a Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapist at the Center for Mindful Living where she learned to incorporate self-compassion as an intricate part of her teachings and therapeutic approach. She works with High School students struggling with stress, anxiety, depression and challenges surrounding the transition to college-life. Lisa has worked in drug and alcohol treatment facilities for over 3 years supporting those struggling to live a life of sobriety in recovery.
Lisa also received professional training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition accredited by Columbia University Teacher’s College in New York City in 2007 where she became a Board Certified Health Coach. Lisa takes a comprehensive and holistic approach to your health and well-being. She works to integrate all aspects for your development – mind, body, and spirit. Along with how you feel in the world socially and emotionally with yourself and others, together you will address the impact that family, community and society influence your beliefs, values, choices and behaviors.
Today, Lisa works with adults, adolescents and families suffering from mental health and drug & alcohol related issues such as anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. Lisa also has years of experience working in addiction recovery centers, eating disorders/disordered eating, negative body image and phase of life issues.
